Mrs. Agnes Gifty Adjei-Sam is an International Trade Professional. She has over twenty five (25) years’ experience in international trade promotion having headed various
departments at the Ghana Export Promotion Authority including Director of Market Development and Market Promotion, Research, HR & Administration, Public Relations & Publications and the Ghana Export Trade Information Centre. Through these roles and related training, she has acquired in-depth knowledge and understanding of multilateral trading values and systems as well as a rich network of high-value trade and investment relationships locally and internationally.

Agnes was the National Focal Point Person for the International Trade Centre (ITC) flagship programme, ACCESS! For African Women in International Trade in the early 2000 and further worked to ensure the effective implementation of the SheTrades Programmes for Women-Owned Businesses in Ghana. She was one of the final three trainers for the National Export Strategy Consultant Trainers for SheTrades Commonwealth Project run by the Trade Facilitation Office (TFO) Canada during and after COVID-19.

Agnes is a trained and certified ITC Enterprise Management Development (EMD) Adviser also has holds an MA in Organisation Development from the University of Cape Coast and BA Hons from University of Ghana, Legon. She is a known Resource Person on various topics in International Trade at the Ghana Export School, Africa Trade Academy and other platforms.

Agnes served on the Board of Business Ideas for Africa, Lima, Global Standards (GS 1) Ghana. She has authored an article on African Producers in the Cut Flower and Cut Foliage Trade-Published by Cengage Higher Learning in the 10 th Edition of International Marketing by Michael Czinkota.

Agnes has great experience in facilitating the development and implementation of trade policies and strategies to engender growth of international businesses She is currently the CEO of AS CHANAN and enjoys using her experience and networks to coach many enterprises to become competitive in export trade.
