Leah Njorege Kibe

Leah is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and specializes in international arbitration, negotiation and dispute settlement. She has extensive background in international law and economics, international trade law, WTO law, international investment law, preferential/regional trade agreements, bilateral agreements and international public law.
Prior to joining ICSID, Leah was a Senior Associate at JMiles & Co Nairobi Office. She has an extensive background in international law and economics, international trade law, WTO law, international investment law, preferential/regional trade agreements, bilateral agreements and international public law. Leah has a Master’s Degree in International Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute in Switzerland and has worked in the Division of Investments and Enterprise of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (“UNCTAD”) in Geneva. Leah frequently speaks on trade and investment topics and most recently presented on Investor State Dispute Settlement at a workshop organised by the Commonwealth Secretariat in Nairobi. Leah is the regional representative for Kenya for LCIA YIAG and Africa representative for the Asia-Pacific Forum on International Arbitration (“AFIA”).
Leah has conducted a number of trainings including training of state counsels and public prosecutors drawn from various ministries of the Ethiopian Government. The training included topics on international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods as well as international financial techniques.
